Please add some kind of activity indicator or the date of the last release to each entry, so people can easily judge whether the project is still actively supported. Web Frontends
Web frontends that run server-side within a web server are the most common form of alternative user interfaces for rTorrent:
ruTorrent is yet another web front-end for rTorrent written in PHP, designed to emulate the look and feel of the µTorrent WebUI [v3.4, 2012, actively developed].
avalanche-rt provides a friendly frontend, loosely based on Clutch (Transmission's web interface); a redesigned version is announced for 08/2011.
wTorrent is a web interface to rTorrent programmed in PHP and Javascript for rendering the page with AJAX and Scriptaculous [???].
rtGui is a web-based rTorrent frontend written in PHP [???].
rTWi is a simple rTorrent web interface written in PHP by Gabor Hudiczius [???].
πϱTorrent can list torrents and show some basic information about them, and add torrents via their URL. It is quite fast and was created to rid servers of that awful project called PHP.

rTorrent Manager is a remote front-end for rTorrent built for the Mozilla platform. It can run as an extension for Mozilla Firefox, or as a stand-alone application using XULRunner [v0.5.7, 2011, Firefox 1.5+ and XULRunner 1.8+ are supported].
rTorrent Monitor Chrome Extension allows monitoring the rTorrent demon from your Google Chrome browser. It shows the downloading speed, uploading speed and the number of incomplete items.
the conky status display of PyroScope can show the status of your (remote) rTorrent instance right on your desktop.
rQTorrent is a brand new project and aims to be a QT frontend for rTorrent.

PyroScope is a collection of tools for the BitTorrent protocol and especially the rTorrent client [v0.4.2, 2011, actively developed].
Tools and Miscellaneous
Torrent Management System with rTorrent and Bash implements queue management for incomplete torrents, and completion moving [2008].
rtorrentqueuemanager.py is another solution for queue management written in Python [???, probably unsupported].
rtorrent-modesty — an upload volume management system for rTorrent (written in Python using the pyrocore library from pyroscope) [new, 10/2011]
PyroScope offers rtcontrol, mktor, rtxmlrpc, and the pyrotorque demon, which also includes a download queue manager and a libnotify-based torrent tree watcher.
Client Proxies (XMLRPC APIs)
